EHR Implementation Program Management

EHR rollouts are among the most complex projects in healthcare. They span clinical, operational, and technical workstreams simultaneously, involve dozens of external vendors and implementation partners, and carry HIPAA obligations at every stage.

We've managed Epic, Cerner, and other major EHR implementations from planning through go-live. We know the standard failure modes — integration timelines that slip, training programs that underdeliver, post-live stabilization periods that drag — and how to manage against them.

HIPAA Compliance Advisory

HIPAA compliance in a hospital's operational workflows is not just about the EMR. It touches project management, vendor communication, document sharing, and every system where PHI might appear — including PM tools that most hospitals have never formally evaluated against the security rule.

We advise on PHI handling workflows, BAA review, risk assessments, and building compliance posture into operational projects rather than retrofitting it after an audit finding.

Capital Project Management

Hospital capital projects — OR construction, facility expansions, new building programs — are cross-organizational efforts that require coordination between the hospital, architects, general contractors, equipment vendors, and regulatory bodies simultaneously.

We provide PM leadership for capital projects, with particular strength in projects that involve regulatory compliance milestones, Joint Commission inspection preparation, and multi-phase commissioning processes.

PMO Advisory and Maturity

Many hospital PMOs are built informally, using tools and processes that evolved rather than were designed. We help PMOs build structured project governance: standard methodologies, CAB processes, reporting frameworks, and tooling that reflects how the organization actually operates.

This work often runs alongside 1Project implementation, where the PM methodology and the tooling are designed together rather than adopted separately.
